The Coronavirus outbreak produced panic globally, with new cases reported every day. The US was the new hotspot for the virus, as approximately 4000 new cases were found yesterday. Blockchain technology has worked as the extraordinary hero during these challenging times as the Public Health Blockchain Consortium declared a series of monitoring characteristics on the new age technology.

According to the developers, the monitoring blockchain verification system will scan workplaces and societies for virus-free zones. The technology inbuilt into it will verify for bacteria, high-risk viruses, and fungi that may occur in life-threatening diseases. The employment of blockchain technology in such a mainstream difficulty articulates volumes about how far the industry has grown.

Ayon Hazra, the Chief Executive Officer of Qlikchain was one of the officials linked with PHBC. Qlikchain will work as the administrator for the PHBC and grant support and assistance on the technical front. Hazra was also cited as stating:

“Unlike traditional infectious disease surveillance that focuses on infected persons, this is a system that monitors the movement of uninfected persons instead, to restrict their return if they have passed through areas known to be infected. Those areas without validated reports of contamination are elevated to safe zone status.”

The characteristics inbuilt into the PHBC will allow it to recognize zones with and without confirmed incident reports. The company intends to combine real-time data from virus surveillance providers with AI and something named the Geographical Information System [GIS]. The GIS works as a structure for managing, gathering, and analyzing data over spectrums.

Security checks at borders have increased ever since the Coronavirus spread, and the PHBC intended to ease that process. The blockchain connected to the PHBC will store a workplace or community’s protection certificate offered by government bodies. Communities can also give isolated places of residence to incoming visitors. These visitors are anonymously verified daily.

PHBC and everyone connected with it is preparing to make it a global mainstream solution. The team also determined to grant the one-year influence of technology at the WHO meeting in the coming weeks. The PHBC monitoring blockchain was first launched last month with much excitement. Various officials from the HR department and senior housing representative will also connect the PHBC workforce.

Cases associated with Coronavirus have fastened across the globe, with the US and Italy becoming the focal regions. The only good news that evolved out of this confusion was that Wuhan published no new cases for the first time after the outbreak began. There have also been reports that scientists across the world were very close to building a vaccine, though with no release date in view.
