An article issued in the Chinese daily newspaper “Guangming Daily” was released on the website of the Chinese Office of the CCAC (Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission). The report reviews recent use cases of blockchain in industry and business and how it can transform the healthcare industry for the better. The CCAC is a high-level office reporting to the country’s heads of state and is undeviatingly responsible to Chinese President Xi Jinping.

VeChain provides an innovative solution

Particularly in times of the coronavirus, systems for inhibition and prevention of further spread are in demand. The report says that VeChain, in cooperation with DNV GL, offers a future-oriented blockchain solution that makes a valuable contribution to the protection of the population, government, and industry in the fight against COVID19.

The virus containment prevention solution offered by VeChain will enable many companies to continue normal production operations. VeChain’s MyCare is already employed in the Norwegian shipping industry and by some hotel chains like ITC Hotels and Intercontinental. My Care and the Infection & Emergent Pathogen Risk Prevention Framework helps review and enhance hygiene and safety standards.

All vital data can be read out in the hotels and on the ships by scanning a QR code and thus being utilized to check the standards. VeChain CEO Sunny Lu said in a statement that VeChain assists to cope with the “new normality” with the coronavirus and to regain the misplaced trust of the population in the government, In the ‘new normal’ brought about by the epidemic, customers’ hunt for trust is unprecedentedly high. Blockchain technology will enhance data integrity and commercial credibility, which is an essential guarantee for multi-party cooperation and mutual trust.

He further explains that the blockchain data service platform ToolChain™ offered by DNV GL and VeChain allows for the secure and efficient administration of highly sensitive data, which can be stored on the blockchain in a tamper-proof and transparent manner. The platform provides a flexible environment with innovative tools that can be adapted to the research and development of complex application requirements in different scenarios.

In a current update, Sunny Lu also stated that the combination and setup of the VeChain ToolChain™ no longer take several months, but only a few weeks. Therefore, far-reaching application scenarios can be realized and achieved quickly. According to Lu, this flags the way for a mass adaptation of the VeChainThor blockchain.
